Who I Am

I am, like all of you, a person made in God's image and likeness, beloved by Him. As a result of that, I am a part of God's creation. I am not an accident, or a result of chance. I am part of a plan greater than myself or than anything I can begin to imagine. I cannot describe who I am without referring to the Nicene Creed, which defines who I am.

I am a Zuno Fernández, a part of a wonderful, supportive family.

I am a teacher, musician, music theorist, and pianist. It is my aim to teach with this order of priority: 1) the person 2) music 3) piano playing.

Next, I am a proud Mexican, and not only that, I am a tapatío.

In May 2005, I graduated from SMU with a master's degree in piano performance and pedagogy, and I'm currently working on a second degree, in music theory.
